Life after college

Being an Officer in the U.S. Army means you're a leader, a counselor, a strategist and a motivator. It's similar to being a vital manager in a corporation. As an Officer, you will lead other Soldiers in all situations and adjust in environments that are always changing. Officers are problem-solvers, key influencers and planners. They are driven to achieve success with their team on every mission.

After graduation, you'll be an officer in the Army with leadership and management skills. You can serve part-time in the Army National Guard or Army Reserves, or serve full-time in the Active Army. Employers know that Army ROTC teaches the skills which they are looking for in the people they hire and promote.

Once you receive your degree, you will attend a Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOCC). Each Officer Branch or job has its own BOCC. Upon completion of your BOCC you will then go to your assigned unit, either on Active Duty or the Reserve Components (National Guard or Reserves).

Army ROTC provides you with training needed to succeed in tomorrow's competitive world. Preparing for a lifetime of success in the corporate world begins with Army ROTC, which enables you to develop leadership and management skills that give you the competitive edge.
