The Office of the Provost supports the academic mission of the University by ensuring the availability of quality academic programs for all students, by providing support activities that enhance teaching and learning, and by making available services that enable faculty and student involvement in research and creative activity.
The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, provides vision, leadership, and oversight for all areas related to Academic Affairs. Serving as the institution鈥檚 chief academic officer, the Provost is responsible for program administration, personnel decisions, and budget management; fosters the academic growth and development of faculty, staff, and students; and strives to advance the educational values, goals, and mission of the university with both on- and off-campus constituencies.
Units that report to the Provost include the Colleges of Business; Education and Human Services, Humanities and Fine Arts; Science, Engineering and Technology; Hutson School of Agriculture; School of Nursing and Health Professions; Center for Adult and Regional Education; University Libraries; Honors College; Center for Academic Advising; Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activities; Office of Sponsored Programs; Faculty Development Center; Office of Service Learning; and the Office of the Registrar.
