College of Education and Human Services

Seventy-four percent of teachers within the 18-county Western Kentucky region are graduates of °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û due to the priceless academic opportunities offered by the College of Education and Human Services. Our department and programs span a variety of disciplines from elementary education, communication disorders to criminal justice. In fact, more than 1,500 Murray State students are engaged with our departments, with about 1,000 of those having already declared education as their major.

Murray State began as a teaching college and has built upon this foundation over the years with several esteemed accreditations. We provide students with unique hands-on experiences during their pursuit of an education degree in addition to the very best in traditional classroom experiences.
