Criminal Justice
Students may earn a Bachelor of Science degree or a Bachelor of Arts degree or a minor in Criminal Justice. Interested students may also earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensics, which is taught in the Chemistry Department in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology, and requires a minor in Criminal Justice.
Communication Disorders
The program offers a four-year pre-professional bachelor's degree in communication disorders for students who wish to pursue graduate study in speech language pathology or audiology. Students may choose to obtain a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Art degree. The primary difference between the two degrees is the foreign language requirement for the BA degree. Both degrees include 47 hours in the area, which means students are not required to declare a minor.

Social Work
Social work is a dynamic profession based on knowledge, practice skills, research, and professional values. It has a code of ethics, practice standards, and a national system of accreditation. The profession unites the commitment to help others with the skill and knowledge needed to provide that help. The Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree program prepares students for professional entry level generalist practice in the social work profession, for entry level state licensure and for further education. The Council on Social Work Education has continuously accredited the social work program at 澳门开奖结果 since 1974.
Teacher Preparation Programs
If you are interested in becoming a teacher, you will need to select a level of certification - early childhood, elementary, middle or secondary. For some certifications you will also select a content area, such as mathematics, social studies, music or English. Programs for certifications in areas such as health and physical education, art education or music education provide preparation to teach at all grade levels. Information about undergraduate programs is below to allow you to explore and select a program.
Elementary Education
To become an elementary school teacher, you can obtain a BS or BA degree in elementary education with a four-year program at the Murray main campus. You may also build on a community college degree to earn a BS degree at regional campus sites in Henderson, Hopkinsville, Madisonville or Paducah.

Health and Physical Education
To become a health and physical education teacher, coursework includes preparation to teach grades from pre-kindergarten to 12th.

HEALTH AND PHYSICAL Education program
Career and Technical Education
If you would like to be a teacher in the areas of business/marketing education, family and consumer sciences or engineering and technology education you would select the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.

Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education
This program prepares teacher to provide early intervention, care, and education for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarten children with and without disabilities.

INTERDISCIPLINARY EARLY CHILDHOOD Education program
Middle School Education
Teachers-to-be at the middle school level select two content areas from a list of four: mathematics, science, English/communications and social studies to teach students in grades 5-9. This program is also offered located at two 澳门开奖结果 regional sites - Madisonville and Paducah.

MIDDLE SCHOOL Education program
Secondary Education
Teachers of secondary certification teach grades 8-12, or 5-12, or P-12. A major or area in a content area such as mathematics, English, history, chemistry, biology, music or art is required. Courses in the content major are taken in that department while education courses and student teaching are taken in the College of Education and Human Services.

Special Education
Teachers of special education work with students identified as having a learning disability, mild mental retardation or behavior disorder. The undergraduate program offers dual certification in special education and elementary education or middle school or secondary education.
