Anyone parking on Murray State's campus must register their vehicle to park. Parking regulations are enforced 24/7.

Your Virtual Permit (V-Permit) is the legally registered license plate for your motor vehicle registered with Murray State Parking Services.

Please make sure your license plate is entered correctly and any vehicle you drive to campus has been registered properly with Murray State Parking Services.

Registration is valid for the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.

Permit options

Red Permit: $200 Available to commuter students and residents of Regents or White colleges. Grants permission to park in red zones.

Yellow Permit: $200 Available to residents of the North Residential Colleges (Elizabeth, HC Franklin, Clark, Richmond, Hart, Hester) and College Courts residents. Grants permission to park in yellow zones.

Purple Permit: $100 Available to all students. Grants permission to park in purple zones (the West Farm, Roy Stewart Stadium, Hamilton Field, and Sorority Suites).
Racer Academy, Regional, and Online Students

If you do not attend classes on the main campus (Racer Academy, regional students, web students, etc.) please call Parking Services at 270.809.4812 or contact our office by email at msu.parkingoffice@murraystate.edu for permit options.
Paying for your permit

Permit fees will be charged to your student account. It will be accessible through your e-bill on myGate. You may pay these fees like you would any other university expense.

Permit options

Blue Permit: $200 Grants permission to park in blue zones.

Purple Permit: $100 Grants permission to park in purple zones (the West Farm, Roy Stewart Stadium, Hamilton Field, and Sorority Suites).

Faculty and staff who have at least 20 years of continuous regular full-time or part-time service will receive a free annual parking permit. °ÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û retirees are also eligible to receive a free parking permit.
Paying for your permit

Regular Full-Time/Part Time Employees: The permit is purchased through a payroll deduction (either one-time or broken up between pay periods).

Adjunct/Temp/Other Employees: The permit must be paid in full at the time of purchase. Please contact parking services for more information regarding permit payment

Visitor permits are free. Contact Murray State Parking Services at 270.809.4812 or by email at msu.parkingoffice@murraystate.edu for assistance in registering your vehicle.

Multiple violations with no attempt to obtain a visitor permit may result in visitor citations being sent for collection or the vehicle being booted/towed at owner’s expense.
