In addition, you may request to meet with an academic department. If we are able to confirm that appointment, you should add an additional one to two hours to your visit time.
How much of a notice do you need to schedule my campus visit?
We ask that you give us at least two weeks鈥 notice to arrange your visit. However, if you are just passing through Western Kentucky and would like to drop in, feel free to do so. We will NOT be able to acquire academic appointments on same day visits.

I play a sport at my high school. Can I meet with a coach during my visit?

What if I (or my parent) has a disability or injury which prevents us from walking campus? Can we still take the tour?
Absolutely! We ask that when scheduling your appointment, you let us know if you need special accommodations. This will allow us time to arrange for a wheel chair or a special driving tour.
What should I bring with me to a campus visit?
You may want to bring something to write with and a list of any questions you may have.
What should I wear for my visit?
Dress casual for your visit to campus. You will be sitting a little and walking a lot! We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. You may also want to bring a jacket or umbrella in the event of inclement weather. Be sure to before leaving home.
No matter which school you are visiting; never wear clothing from another college. You are going to be meeting with faculty and staff from the college of your choice. According to , 鈥淭here is nothing worse as an admission counselor than to have a prospective student come up to you raving about how much they want to attend your college while wearing the sweatshirt from a peer institution.鈥
What if I want to come on a date that is not available on your calendar?
There are a couple of reasons you would not be able to visit on a particular date/time. Maybe, that session is already full. Maybe, the university is closed or we have a special event scheduled and will not be hosting visits on that date. You may need to select a secondary date/time to visit.
However, if you are only able to come on a particular date, we offer Self-Guided Walking Tours. There are many benefits of a walking tour. Learn more about Self-Guided Walking Tours
