Tips for Current and Prospective Students
Current students:
The Jones College of Science, Engineering and Technology is offering its graduate students grants for research or travel. Learn more about JCSET grants and application.
Prospective students:
A Master of Science degree, with the flexibility to take up to 9 hours of coursework in fields related to mathematics (thus, in a department other than mathematics and statistics), may be suited to the needs of students who did not major in mathematics but have a strong mathematical background. For example, an economics or finance major may work on a master's in mathematics as a way to prepare for further graduate work in this field. The Economics and Finance department has suggested courses (view course flyer) that a student may take to fulfill the "allied courses" requirement.
