School Principal
Admission requirements include:
- a master's degree (preferred); a bachelor's degree and strong recommendation (required)
- three (3) years of teaching experience
- Kentucky teaching certificate
- successful completion of an application and interview during the recruitment period
- a recommendation form from your principal or superintendent
Director of Pupil Personnel, Director of Special Education, Supervisor of Instruction
Admission requirements include:
- Kentucky teaching certificate
- three (3) years of teaching experience
- Director of Pupil Personnel and Supervisor of Instruction only:
a master's degree in education administration or equivalent - Director of Special Education only:
a master's degree in education administration or equivalent
or
a certificate in school psychology
Superintendent
Admission requirements include:
- Kentucky teaching certificate
- three (3) years of teaching experience
- 2 years of successful administration experience
- a strong recommendation form from your superintendent

Please Note: Official transcripts must be sent separately from each previously attended institution. Transcripts must be mailed or electronically submitted directly from the sending institution to Murray State to be considered official. Faxed transcripts are not considered official.
