Faculty Information
Textbook Ordering
Textbook orders are submitted to the Vice President of Academic Affairs who signs off on orders then distributes the information to the University Store. Use the "Textbook Order" form on the Academic Affairs Forms page to submit your order. Order early! Early orders ensure that textbooks are available for the first day of classes.
Other Required Materials
Faculty who require other course materials besides textbooks should contact the University Store. We are more than happy to carry other student supplies - anything goes, from chemistry goggles, to nursing scrubs, just let us know and we'll have them in-store for your students to purchase.
Faculty Discounts
In addition to academic department benefiting from University Store discounts, faculty do as well. Faculty receive 10% off the purchase of any Murray State logo items, textbooks, trade books, art supplies and more in the University Store.
Art Instructors
The University Store often sees art students scrambling to gather the various supplies required for their courses. Take the hassle off your students. Send us your syllabus and we'll put together "art kits" for your course. Students can come in to the store and purchase the pre-assembled kit for their course. Contact Christie McCoy at 270.809.6993 with questions or to submit your syllabus.
Desk Copies
A desk copy is a book that faculty members teaching classes can borrow from the University Bookstore to use until they receive their copy from the publisher. The desk copy should be returned to the University Bookstore in a new condition. It cannot be stamped "Instructor Copy" from the publisher, and must be returned in the semester in which taken. If the text is not returned by the end of the fiscal year, the department will be charged full price for the text. For a desk copy, contact Don Klukan at 270.809.6995.
Faculty Authors
If you are a faculty author who would like to have your book displayed on the faculty author wall and for sale in the University Store, please contact Andrew Dowdy at 270.809.4769. Please indicate the book title, publisher and any other important details. Additionally, let us know if you are interested in having a book signing at the University Store.
