Milkman will be recognized on December 5 as part of the program at the WGCA Hall of Fame inductions at Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The only women鈥檚 golf coach in Murray State history, Milkman is currently in her 29th year at Murray State. Along the way, she has coached championship-level student-athletes that have produced 12 Ohio Valley Championships including their latest title in 2019, which marked the third time that Murray State has won three in a row in Coach Milkman's tenure. She has coached nine OVC individual champions, nine OVC Players of the Year and 53 all-conference selections. Off the course, her student-athletes have earned WGCA All-American Scholar honors 65 times.

Milkman served a four-year term on the Division I NCAA Women鈥檚 Golf Committee, including two years as the Committee Chair. She has also served on the OVC Awards Committee, OVC Competition Cabinet and with the Murray State Intercollegiate Athletic Council. She has been Murray State鈥檚 Senior Woman Administrator since 2003 and served as Murray State鈥檚 Interim Athletic Director from August 2019 to March 2020.

Along with conducting both junior golf camps and ladies鈥 clinics, Milkman has served as an instructor for 澳门开奖结果 Women in Telecom Day. The annual event raised money for Telecommunications Systems Management scholarships and allowed women in the telecom field to network and learn how to play golf. Milkman is also a participant in the 澳门开奖结果 Europe in Transition faculty and staff program in Germany. Her paper for the program, 鈥淢arketing Scotland's Golf Tourism Industry鈥, was chosen to be presented during 澳门开奖结果's International Education Week.

The Cybersecurity and Network Management (CNM) program at 澳门开奖结果 is hosting the Kentucky Cybersecurity and Forensics Conference (KCFC2021) on November 12. This virtual conference is the first annual collaborative effort between the National Centers for Academic Excellence Cyber Defense (NCAE- CD) in Kentucky. The participating institutions are 澳门开奖结果, Northern Kentucky University, University of Louisville, University of the Cumberlands, Bluegrass Community and Technical College and Owensboro Community and Technical College.

"This year's KCFC aims to connect students, faculty and administrators with cybersecurity and forensics leaders from the NSA, military, state, federal agencies, and businesses. Another goal for the conference is to raise awareness of cybersecurity career opportunities for all students interested in entering this field," said Dr. Abdul Yarali, professor and coordinator of Murray State鈥檚 CNM program.

The Kentucky Cybersecurity and Forensics Conference is a virtual multi-track interdisciplinary cybersecurity event offering an ideal venue for networking with academic, government, and industry peers for education, collaborations and innovations.

The conference is designed to value community outreach and leadership in professional development and integrate cybersecurity practice within the institution and academic disciplines. The spotlight tracks of the conference are an opening welcome by Murray State Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Tim Todd, various discussions on the importance of NCAE-CD by Mrs. Barbara Lynne Clark, the chief of Cybersecurity Defense of the National Center of Academic Excellence of the NSA, and the rise of cybercrimes, ransomware, cybersecurity, and digital forensics by distinguished keynote speakers with many years of experience in national security.

鈥 I am proud that Murray State took the first steps to hold this first annual conference in Kentucky and pave the way for the future conferences to integrate and promote cybersecurity practice within the institution and across the academic discipline,鈥 Yarali, conference chair, said.
